Race Through Life
psyWas studying Aristotle in Ethical Reasoning class today, talking about the Four Causes and how everything has an ingrained urge to fulfill its existence.
Through the “Why?” process Aristotle concluded that all of what we do can be watered down to one reason: to feel happiness.
Aristotle called it Eudemonia - a state of being fully alive, fully awake and joyful. No worries in the back of your head, just pure happiness.
Things were going well until she started asking everyone if they had experienced such happiness.
And I couldn’t think of anything.
Sorry for the depressing post, just wondering if anyone can relate to this.
My mind went through various emotions today
First Amazing then it all went downhill
1) after helping my friend move house and getting covered in cat hair and dust, I was given an unexpected surprise from her mum
Her old Singer that I’ve been saving to buy off her is now mine for FREE
I just have to wait for my winter break to start getting crafty ;)
2) Some samples I submitted have been accepted for some graphics work I’ve been hoping to get
So if it all goes well (I hope) I’ll get some money in to finally buy my higher performance computer
maybe I can finally do some shopping for once :D
Things started getting bad after that though when
3) My midterm work didn’t go down well with my prof
4) My entire GROUP’S WORK didn’t go down well either and now he’s demanding a redesign of the one he chose
He wants us to redesign an urban plan for an entire chunk of city 3km x 2.5km in size in 3 DAYS
The pandas say it all:
So pretty stressed right now. needed some tumblr therapy and straight back to work tomorrow.
oh how I wish
I imagine it through the scents of rose water, burning Ghee in a pan, and the way water smells as it breezes in from a hot day to rest on your tongue - the inner caverns of your mouth.
Just where the water meets the mountain side. Where Vines plunge in, brown and fruitless, and emerge at our feet…
This is AMAZING.
its saturated in beautiful imagery, that last line its so good! a perfect finish!
And you say you “aren’t that good”
Are you nuts?
